Color contact lenses are my favorite. I've probably tried most colors, and from many different brands. I found that certain colors make my eyes look very pretty, but others are fake or just plain ugly. After much trial and error, I finally figured out how to choose the best color lenses for your eyes.
First, it is important to know that you can choose between opaque and enhancement color contacts. You can make your eyes look brighter or more vibrant with enhancement color lenses. They are only suitable for people with light eyes - blue, green, grey or light brown. These lenses can be partially transparent to make them look very natural.
Opaque lenses on the other side can totally change your eye's color. These lenses aren't transparent so they are great for dark eyes. If you are a natural brown color and want sky-blue eyes, opaque color contacts will be required. Enhancements won't work for you. People with light eyes may choose between both lenses.
Color contacts to subtle change
For girls with naturally blue eyes, blue or aqua color contacts work wonders. One might wonder why someone with naturally blue eyes would require colored lenses. The beauty of blue enhancement lenses can really make a difference to your appearance. Your eyes are still blue, but they look much brighter and attract attention. My eyes are also blue. I love blue tinted color contacts. My favourite is Acuvue 2 colors, "Ocean Blue".
For naturally grey eyes blue tints also work very well. This color looks more natural than over blue eyes. It's not as intense, but it is still very attractive. Acuvue Colors and Freshlook Dimensions are the best choices.
Green contacts are great over blue eyes. This is because jade green is mixed in with your natural colour.
Freshlook Radiance color contacts can be used to make your eyes sparkle. Eden is my favorite (for blue and grey eyes). The contrast between autumn and spring colors is striking with hazel eyes.
Color contact lens for dramatic changes
To change the color of brown eyes dramatically you will need opaque lenses. Acuvue Colors Opaque, Freshlook Colorblends, and Illusions by Ciba Vision are all good options.
Freshlook Colorblends Sapphire and Amethyst are the best colors for dark-eyed women. You will not be able to miss the dramatic change.
Honey color contacts lens town may be the best option for you if your eyes are blue or grey. These lenses will make you look warmer. To further enhance this effect, use warm lipsticks and natural colors to make up.
Color contact lens safety
If you're already wearing contact lenses to improve your sight, you will know how they are put in and how to take care of them. If you want only cosmetic color contacts, talk to your doctor about safe wearing them.
The most important rule about color contact lenses is that they block oxygen supply to the eyes more than clear prescription contacts. Actually, the color part blocks oxygen from entering. Your eyes should not be exposed to color lenses for more than 6-8 hours per day. They should not be worn while you sleep.
A pair of color contacts lenses is a great gift idea. Nothing can affect woman's appearance as much as beautiful sparkling eyes. You can also change your look by wearing different colored lenses.
