Things to Do and See in Ireland

DublinIreland's capital city, Dublin is awash with Irish charm and culture. There are numerous bus tours across the city, allowing visitors to soak up as much of the history that you can. There's a wide range of things to visit near the city centre. Dublin Castle is a mix combination of different Irish stories, and includes an ancient Royal chapel and Viking fortress. Its Guinness Store House is a must-see, allowing you to learn about the brewing process and the transport system. You even get a complimentary pint! Go towards St Patrick's Cathedral to check out the local history.

The Giants Causeway
The Causeway is comprised of majestic cliffs and secluded bays, surrounded by a majestic atmosphere and legend. Look beyond the beautiful scenery and witness the lives of the past generations, amid small harbors along the coastline. There are gorgeous fishing cottages and rock formations that line the coast, which will be awestruck.

Cork
The town is located in the South West of Ireland, Cork is the second biggest town in Ireland. It is a popular tourist destination. Cork is full of exciting things to do with your family, including Cork's Model Railway and National Aquarium. There's an array of music, theatre and dance in the city for evening entertainment, and is a great location to shop for unusual Irish souvenirs in antique boutiques.

Bru na Bainne- The Passage of Tombs
This World Heritage site is one of the most important sites of prehistoric times in Europe and it is a must to experience during your visit. It is more ancient than the Egyptian Pyramids and contains around 40 passage graves. Situated on the River Boyne, the area is also ideal to explore by walking.

The Brazen Head Pub, Dublin
The Brazen Head pub is believed to be the oldest of Dublin and is awash with the traditional Irish style. The pub is said to be haunted, and dating back to 1198. The Brazen Head is a ideal spot to visit for a traditional Irish lunch and a pint Guinness.

Galway Cathedral
The cathedral is located on the ireland maps riverbanks of the River Corrib in Galway City located in the middle of a lively community. The cathedral is regularly used for services and is an excellent location to explore the religious routes of Ireland. Even if you are not religious The Cathedral can enlighten your experience with Irish tradition and culture. The best time to visit would be when there is The Galway International Oyster Festival between 22nd and 25th September 2011.

Belfast
It is Northern Ireland Capital is packed full of arts, entertainment shopping, and museums. The best time to visit will be during the Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival held between the 2nd- 31st May 2011. The festival features a variety of international performers performing music, comedy and street theatre to the city centre of Belfast.

Ireland is among the most fascinating and interesting places within Europe and is one of the places you have to go to. If you decide to wander the lush countryside, taste the local cuisine or immerse yourself in the rich history and culture. Ireland will not let you down.
